- Includes the construction of a wastewater treatment plant on the premises of Papelera de Rentería, S.A., and the new biogas scrubbing plant for the SAICA paper mill in El Burgo de Ebro (Zaragoza)
Cadagua reinforces its leadership in the industrial water treatment sector thanks to the awarding of two new contracts in 2021, the construction of a wastewater treatment plant on the premises of Papelera de Rentería, S.A., and the new biogas scrubbing plant for the SAICA paper mill in El Burgo de Ebro (Zaragoza).
Since its first operation in the now dismantled Mahou factory, next to old Vicente Calderón Stadium in Madrid in 1990, 65 projects have already been carried out in the anaerobic industrial effluent sector. Prestigious brands such as Coca-Cola, Mahou-San Miguel, Heineken, Damm, C.C.C., Estrella Galicia, Estrella de Levante, FINI, SAICA, Europac o International Paper, among other, have relied on Cadagua for the design, installation, commissioning and in many cases, operation of their wastewater treatment plants.
In this last four years, Cadagua has built and put into service 12 purifications plants. 5 for the paper sector, 5 others for the brewery sector, one for the wine sector and one for a major table olive packaging plant. One of them in Rouen (Francia), another in Santarem (Portugal) and the rest in Spain.
Part of this success is due to the BIOPAQ IC anaerobic technology that Cadagua uses. Its robustness and reliability differentiate it from other aerobic technologies by its ability to cope with variations in the water to be treated, as well as its extremely low operating costs. In addition, this technology promotes the circular economy and minimize the carbon footprint thanks to the high production of biogas, which can be used to produce electricity.
All this has been possible thanks to the specialization and commitment of Cadagua professionals, the customer loyalty and the technological contribution of our Dutch partner Paques.
