Each school received $15,000 to increase STEM activities for all students in the schools

I-66 Express highway presented two grants recently to the Foundation for Fairfax County Public Schools to support STEM education at Stenwood and Marshall Road Elementary Schools in Vienna, Virginia.

“Providing the tools and resources to support science and technology education at the elementary school level is foundational to develop the workforce of the future,” “We look forward to a long-term partnership with the Foundation for Fairfax County Public Schools in supporting innovative STEM initiatives well into the future.”

Elizabeth Murphy, executive director of the Foundation, stated,

“We are delighted to accept this contribution for STEM education from I-66 Express. The work that they are supporting will be immediately impactful at these two schools, and we look forward to finding other ways to work together to grow similar programs in FCPS.”
