New Budimex projects medical centre and IKEA building
Budimex, a Ferrovial subsidiary, has been awarded three new building contracts in Poland: a medical centre in Gdansk, an office building in Wroclaw, and  a new IKEA building, the commercial premises for the Swedish company in Poznan. Gdansk Medical University has signed an agreement with Budimex for the design and construction of a medical centre encompassing buildings B, C and D, together with the installation of networks and connections for its medical equipment. The first building will house surgical facilities for obstetrics and gynaecology, heart and vascular surgery, and the departments of haematology and bone marrow transplant, dermatology, and oncology and radiotherapy. The project duration is 23 months, with a budget of 65.5 million Euros. The BZ WBK Leasing company has awarded Budimex a contract for the construction of a 17,000 m2 office building in Wroclaw, which will have seven floors plus an underground parking garage. The building is expected to be finished by the end of October 2017, and will cost a total of 18.5 million Euros. The building company has also signed a contract with Swedish company IKEA for construction of commercial premises and offices within the Handlowy Franowo industrial estate in the city of Poznan. The building will have three levels, with the commercial area on the ground floor, together with the technical and administrative departments, and office space, conference rooms, etc. on the upper level. The underground level will accommodate parking for 332 cars. The project has a total value of 17.6 million Euros.
