Broadspectrum has signed a 4 year nbn agreement
Broadspectrum has signed a four-year contract with nbn Co Limited (nbn) to deliver high speed broadband services over the HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) network in Sydney and Melbourne metropolitan areas. Based on performance, this could be valued at up to $60 million in the first year.
This agreement is an addition to the Multi-technology Integrated Master Agreement (MIMA) contract Broadspectrum signed with nbn in June 2015. The MIMA agreement has significantly increased the efficiency and effectiveness of the rollout by aligning the interests of the delivery partners with nbn’s stated desire for a rapid, high quality and safe deployment of Australia’s broadband network. "Broadspectrum continues to support nbn in one of the most significant nation building infrastructure projects ever undertaken in Australia,” said Graeme Hunt, Broadspectrum’s Managing Director and CEO. “We will work with nbn to ensure the broadband network is rolled out as quickly as possible, while ensuring that the work we perform is of a very high standard. Telecommunications is a key sector for Broadspectrum and the nbn is a very important client.” With more than 200 clients globally, Broadspectrum is focused on providing high value asset management services to clients in sustainable growth, including the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors, and government outsourcing.
