Budimex has signed a contract with the Kielce branch of General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, to construct a near 8km section of the S7 road between Skarżysko-Kamienna and the province border. The contracted section of the S7 road running between Skarżysko-Kamienna and the border of Mazowieckie and Świętokrzyskie, will be located on the western side of the existing road No 7. The project will give road No 7 in the Świętokrzyskie region the credentials of express road across its entire distance. The 7.6km stretch will connect the close to 50km section of S7 express road from Skarżysko through Kielce to Chęciny with Radom - border of Mazowieckie and Świętokrzyskie. The investment brings with it plans for two new junctions: Skarżysko Centrum and Skarżysko Północ, as well as 4 flyovers, 2 bridges, 2 passages for agriculture roads, animal passages and access roads. This contract follows the September 23rd commission for a 20-kilometre section of S7 stretching from Jędzrzejów to the border of Świętokrzyskie and Małopolskie provinces. In another agreement worth PLN 29 million, Budimex will also redevelop the Henryk spa in the West Pomeranian province of Poland. The project will see the old Henryk spa demolished and rebuilt, creating a three-star hotel-standard rehabilitation facility. As well as physiotherapy and hydrotherapy services, the spa will offer users a rehabilitation swimming pool, restaurant and kitchen. A multi-space underground car park will also be built to facilitate spa visitors, with completion of the project expected by the end of 2018.
