Cadagua, a Ferrovial subsidiary specialising in engineering and construction of water treatment plants, has been awarded a contract for improvement of the treatment plant in Corpus Christi, in the US state of Texas. The city has a population of over 300,000 and a population density of close to 250 persons per km2.
The project covers renovation and improvement of the water treatment plant, which was built in 1954. Additionally, a new pump building will be constructed adjacent to the plant, necessary access roads will be built, and pavements, drainage and other neighbouring public utilities will be strengthened and improved.
Project budget for renovation of the water treatment plant is 22 million USD.
