Commences Madrid Smart Lab, Ferrovial's way to support entrepreneurship

Madrid Smart Lab, program managed by the Excellence centres for Cities Ferrovial Servicios, is a pioneering initiative to support entrepreneurs in the implementation of innovative solutions that improve mobility and quality of life of citizens. The winning solutions for the challenge of mobility were Trazeo, I-Bump, BuzzStreet and AccityMAPS. As the challenge of quality of life, the solutions selected for the program were Improves Your City (MTC), CivilLift, SmartAppCity, Alehope and Nanocure.

Training, mentoring and incubation

The training program called "Global Accelerator Program" - which lasts six weeks, three days attendance in each of them-, pursues to give entrepreneurs an overview and provide knowledge and tools to help them implement their ideas and projects. Among others, the program will address areas such as strategic management, finance and value creation, geo-strategy and markets, innovation and entrepreneurial vision and managing people and equipment. The program will combine classroom sessions expert faculty of Deusto Business School, with testimonials from successful entrepreneurs and stakeholders in the public and private functions and intensive group work startups selected in Madrid Smart Lab, monitored by Deusto Business School's online platform. Entrepreneurs will also have a mentoring service. Following the methodology developed by CINK Embark, each project will receive personalized service according to their needs and to complete the process of mentoring, defining a road map for all the business areas (product, marketing and communication, sales, financing, etc ...). The program includes also three sessions of "incubation": the first on Design Thinking to impart Alicia Chavero of H2i institute; one second focused on governing bodies in the venture capital and covenant partners, who will lead U & Law; and third-centered Elevator pitch to instruct Carlos Ash, of CINK Embark.

Implementation of pilot project in Las Tablas

In parallel with the training program, the solutions will have the ability to conduct a pilot implementation projects in the neighborhood of Las Tablas, in the district of Fuencarral-El Pardo in Madrid. The Madrid Smart Lab program is part Ferrovial Services's strategy to effectively support the cities in their efforts to innovate, enhance the service offering the best innovative solutions, and contribute to the development of society by supporting the entrepreneurship.
