On Thursday 9 July the final conference of the energy efficiency innovation project TEDS4BEE: Test of Digital Services for Buildings Energy Efficiency will take place at the Eduardo Torroja Institute of Building Sciences in Madrid.
The TEDS4BEE project consortium, led by Ferrovial Services and funded by the European Commission, has launched the EMMOS management software (Energy Management and Monitoring Operational System) in 16 public buildings in five different countries: Poland, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy and Serbia. The EMMOS digital service provides a mechanism for monitoring energy consumption and forecasting energy usage and cost models for buildings. The Intelligent Infrastructure Innovation Centre (CI3) is the project’s technical coordinator.
Despite not having to invest anything in the renovation of the facilities, an average of 30% has been saved in pilot buildings. This research clearly shows that the Government can potentially cut costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
The conference, which will present the results of the project and the main energy efficiency challenges, will be attended by several experts from the sector, such as Javier García Breva, former General Manager of IDAE (Institute for Diversification and Energy Saving, Ministry of Industry) and current energy policy consultant and chairman of the N2E; Velimir Congradac, member of the ION Solutions project; and Inés Leal, Editorial and Development Director of Tecma Group. Salvador Urquía, Infrastructure Business Development Director, and Lorenzo Pascual, TEDS4BEE Project Coordinator, will be taking part on behalf of Ferrovial Services.
