Ferroser obtains AENOR´s ISO 9001 Quality Certificate

Ferrovial Servicios (Ferroser), a Grupo Ferrovial company specialized in street cleaning services, solid urban waste collection and treatment, integrated water management, and facilities maintenance services, has received a Company Certificate issued by the Spanish Standardization and Certification Association (AENOR) certifying the compliance of its Quality System, on a national basis, with the requirements of Standard UNE-EN-ISO 9001.

The scope of the certificate includes all maintenance, conservation, environmental, cleaning, security, space restructuring, property administration and facilities management services, as well as the integration of all these services (Facilities Management).

Implementation in other services

The achievement of an AENOR Certificate by Ferroser backs up the implementation of the Quality Policy being developed by Grupo Ferrovial in all its lines of business. At the moment, Ferroser is implementing its Quality System in other services such as street cleaning and solid urban waste collection and integrated water management.

In 1998, Grupo Ferrovials services division revenues reached Pta 11,665 million 34% up on 1997 while its services order backlog currently exceeds Pta 100 billion. Ferroser has concessions in more than 100 municipalities, serving a population of more than 1.5 million inhabitants in cities such as La Coruña, Huelva, Segovia, Ubeda, Estepona, Baracaldo, Santurce, Durango, Consorcio Almanzora-Levante (Almería), etc.
