Works on the ‘Project for building infrastructures for waste water treatment in the municipalities of Utebo, La Joyosa, Pinseque, Sobradiel, Torres de Berrelen and Zaragoza’ carried out through a joint venture integrated by Ferrovial Agroman, Cadagua and MLN, under a contract worth 23.8 million euros, were finalised and commissioned on 1 October.
These works are part of the 117 million euro-, 20-year concession tendered by the Water Authority of Aragon, an institution of the local Government of Aragon in Spain.
Works were finalised within agreed deadlines, and consist essentially of a waste water treatment plant with a capacity of 28 000 m3/day, 18 km of collectors with a diameter of between 1,800 mm and 400 mm, including two 1,800 mm tubes dug under the AP-68 motorway and the railway line, and two pumping stations with a capacity of 11,200 m3/day and 16,800 m3/day.
