Ferrovial Agroman InternacionalFerrovial-Agromán Internacional starts the construction of a Hospital in Uruguay for Pta 5.4 billion Ferrovial-Agromán Internacional has started the construction of a Hospital Complex for the Asociación Española Primera de Socorros Mutuos in Montevideo, Uruguay. The project involves an investment of Pta 5.4 billion, it will be constructed in 24 months and is the most important private hospital complex in Latin America. The project involves the construction of a modern eleven storey two of them, basements - hospital complex of 20,000 square meters, which will house all hospital services, from in patients with a total of 160 beds in five storeys to surgery, cardiology and psychiatric wards, emergency services, outpatients department, etc. The new building, where a heliport will also be constructed, will be connected to the existing hospital through an underpass and two overpasses, at the third and fifth storey levels. This is the first project carried out by Ferrovial-Agromán Internacional in Uruguay and involves the participation of the local company Teyma Uruguay, an Abengoa subsidiary. In the rest of the continent, F&A is involved in significant construction and infrastructure development projects in Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Ecuador and Haiti. Ferrovial-Agromán Internacional has a backlog only in foreign markets of Pta 90 billion and expects to close 1997 with revenues of Pta 30 billion.
