Ferrovial-Agromán Internacional will widen part of the North-South railway axis of Lisbon

Ferrovial-Agromán Internacional will widen, for Pta 2.6 billion, a 2.6 kilometer stretch of the North-South railway axis of Lisbon. The project includes widening the existing railway, from two to four tracks, refurbishment of the stations of Siete Rios, Rego and Entrecampos and construction of a new technical terminal in Siete Rios.

The project fits into the implantation program of the North-South railway axis of Lisbon and will extend the high speed railway connecting Lisbon and the Setubal Peninsula.

The works, which will start in June and will run for fourteen months, include earthworks, containing walls, track, catenary, signaling and underground passes between the stations of Siete Rios and Entrecampos.

Ferrovial-Agromán Internacional is carrying out a dozen projects in Lisbon totaling more than Pta 35 billion; among them, the Campo Grande building, which will house the Lisbon Town Hall; the Picoas shopping center and car park; infrastructure works for several stretches of the Subway; several works in the Lisbon 98 Universal Exhibition premises as well as the Cascais Park residential development and several housing units for cooperatives.

On the other hand, in association with Grupo Sonae, it will present offers in tenders for Portuguese highways: Concesión Oeste and Concesión Norte.
