Over the course of four days in June, Ferrovial Agroman participated in the 2019 Inter-Noise conference, organized by the International Institute of Noise Control Engineering (I-INCE) and the Sociedad Española de Acústica (SEA).
The event featured an extensive program presenting research done by leading global specialists, along with an exhibition of the most advanced technologies for noise control. With the motto “Noise control for a better environment,” the sessions particularly dealt with management in cities by using analysis techniques, monitoring, and mitigating of all kinds of noise and vibrations.
Ferrovial Agroman participated in the session entitled “Noise Barriers,” which was organized and moderated by Dámaso M. Alegre, Head of the Department of Acoustic Engineering, in collaboration with Jean P. Clairbois, Convenor of CEN TC 226 WG6. The latest developments and research on acoustic displays and methods of predicting efficiency and estimation in situ were presented at the session, as were developments and leading materials such as sonic crystals, solid structures created to produce specific acoustic effects or deflect sound waves.
