Ferrovial Agromán to conduct the reform of the Miguel Servet Hospital in Zaragoza for Ptas 10 billion
Ferrovial Agromán has been contacted to conduct the reform of the Miguel Servet Hospital in Zaragoza for some Ptas 10 billion. The work is to be completed in 54 months and will be on the traumatology, rehabilitation and serious burns unit, one of the largest in the hospital.
The rooms in the new unit will be larger and the center will have an area of over 34,000 square meters, as compared to the 23,000 square meters it has today. The work will improve communications between traumatology and the General Hospital. In addition, the installations will be adjusted to eliminate physical barriers and ramps will be built to facilitate the movement of people with mobility problems.
The work will not affect hospitalization
The reform will be carried out using one floor as “cushioning”; this floor will separate the area of work from admissions, so as not to affect hospitalization. Work will start on the new buildings, where the heating and air-conditioning facilities, the laundry, the cafeteria, the doctors offices, the rehabilitation unit, the donor service, the surgeries, the storeroom, the pharmacy, the out-patients department, the operating theatres, the laboratories, the kitchen and the medical records archive will be located. Once this work is completed, the refurbishment of the hospital will be undertaken.
