Ferrovial, in the CDP Supplier Climate Performance Leadership Index 2014

Ferrovial has achieved a position on the CDP Supplier Climate Performance Leadership Index (SCPLI) 2014.  This index showcases 121 supplier companies around the world who are making the greatest progress towards mitigating climate change. The SCPLI lists the 121 suppliers that performed best on climate change action and were accordingly awarded a performance band A, or an A- if a small to medium sized enterprise. This global index has been created using data provided by 3,396 supplier companies that responded to calls from 66 supply chain members for accountability and transparency on climate change in 2014 by participating in CDP’s supply chain program.  The information we received has been independently assessed against CDP’s widely-respected scoring methodology and ranked accordingly. The performance score assesses the level of action, as reported by the company on climate change mitigation, adaption and transparency. Its intent is to highlight positive climate action as demonstrated by a company’s CDP response. A high performance score signals that a company is measuring, verifying and managing its carbon footprint, for example by setting and meeting carbon reduction targets and implementing programs to reduce emissions in both its direct operations and supply chain.
