Ferrovial Inmobiliaria purchases two sites for the construction of the Towers of Santa Cruz, in Tenerife

Ferrovial Inmobiliaria has just purchased the sites for the construction of the future Towers of Santa Cruz, in Tenerife, a project with an investment of more than Pta 15 billion, which will become one of the most emblematic and outstanding buildings of the islands.

The future Towers of Santa Cruz, with a constructed surface of 28,500 m2 and 34 storeys each, will be highest in the islands,. The towers will combine residential uses -Ferrovial Inmobiliaria expects to develop about 300 homes with two or more bedrooms- with apartments and offices. The project includes the construction of four underground storeys of residents car parks.

The buildings will be located on a site purchased from Compañía Española de Petróleos (CEPSA), in the area known as Ensanche Sur in the capital of Tenerife, a new expansion area which already holds emblematic buildings such as the Fair Pavilion, the, Auditorium, the Palace of Justice, and urban facilities such as the Seaside Park, the Palmetum and the new Bus Station. In addition, the future installation of shopping centers - El Corte Inglés and Pryca-, and new administrative facilities and public and private services is expected.

Investment of Pta 40 billion and 1,500 homes under construction

Ferrovial Inmobiliaria started operating in the Canary Islands in 1996 and, since then, has completed the construction of Residencial San Carlos (67 homes, offices and commercial premises) and expects to deliver about 220 homes in 2000. In the next three years, Ferrovial Inmobiliaria plans to invest more than Pta 40 billion in the Canary Islands and to develop 1,500 homes and 15,000 m2 for services.

In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Ferrovial Inmobiliaria has five projects under construction, totaling 546 homes and commercial premises: Residencial Reyes Católicos, El Parque, Nuevo Cabo Llanos, Parquemar and Los Dragos. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria it is developing the Nuevo Guanarteme and Cumbres de Minilla projects, totaling 262 homes and commercial premises.
