Ferrovial, firm in its commitment to equal opportunities for men and women, and to mark International Women’s Day, has compiled testimonies from staff around the world with the aim of sharing their experiences with the new generations of women joining the company. Promoting gender equality is one of the priorities enshrined in the company’s diversity and inclusion strategy. This was reflected in the Voluntary Agreement signed with the Spanish Ministry for Health, Social Services and Equality, which aimed to increase the number of women in executive posts and company boards. Since 2009, the company is also implementing various initiatives throughout Spain to achieve working environments offering equal opportunities based on merits and talent. This is contained in the Equality Plans agreed with the main trade union federations in Ferrovial companies having more than 250 staff; these plans have been extended to 2018. In recognition of the work carried out for the promotion of equal opportunities, the Ministry for Health, Social Services and Equality granted Ferrovial S.A. its Equality Award (Distintivo de Igualdad) in 2010, an award which has been validated every year to date. Our sincere appreciation to all of you who provide support to the talent within our company on a daily basis – with a special focus today on female talent –  to make Ferrovial a more open and diverse workplace.
