Ferrovial Medio Ambiente awarded three new contracts in Navarre, Valencia and Soria
Ferrovial Medio Ambiente, the firm in the Ferrovial Group that concentrates its activity on all kinds of environmental solutions in the area of solid urban and industrial waste processing, has just been awarded three new contracts in Navarre, the Region of Valencia and Soria.
At the Recycling Plant of the Community of la Ribera, in Navarre, Ferrovial Medio Ambiente will complete the line to process non-selective waste and the auxiliary works at the landfill. The contract, the third executed at that plant, brings the amount of contracts by the firm at those facilities up to 700 million pesetas, and it has recently been awarded the Silver Brush Prize for its pioneering activities in Spain in recycling and tipping of compacted rejects.
In Valencia and Soria
In the Region of Valencia, Ferrovial Medio Ambiente is to perform construction of an ecological park or clean point in the Catarroja area, in addition to those already built in the Alginet and Almacera districts in Valencia.
In the province of Soria, Ferrovial Medio Ambiente will perform the works to extend tanks and improve the solid waste platform at the Almazán agricultural waste processing plant that shall notably improve the quality of tipping to avoid pollution.
Among the most important contracts by Ferrovial Medio Ambiente, there is processing sludge from the Petronor Refinery in Somorrostro, Vizcaya; project to refine gas from the Besós incinerator plant in Barcelona; and withdrawal of sludge for agricultural use and management of several sewage plants for Canal de Isabel II in Madrid.
