The World Finance magazine, which specializes in coverage and analysis of the financial industry, international business, and the global economy, has chosen Ferrovial as “the most sustainable company in the infrastructure sector of 2020.”
Ferrovial’s climate strategy has been acknowledged once again, this time by the World Finance magazine with its ‘Sustainability Awards 2020’. Ferrovial supports the United Nations’ 2030 sustainable development agenda. As such, we value activities that have a lower environmental impact and promote the circular economy, as well as a commitment to low-emission products and services, lower carbon and water footprints, and preserving and bolstering natural capital.
Since 2009, Ferrovial has measured 100% of greenhouse gas emissions from its activities worldwide to shrink our carbon footprint. In 2019, our emissions were 59% lower than in 2009, reflecting our commitment to the strategy for meeting these objectives.
World Finance’s ‘Sustainability Awards 2020’

The sector’s most sustainable company globally, according to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Last September, Ferrovial was ranked the world leader in the construction and engineering sector, according to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).
This recognition certified the company’s environmental, social, and economic strengths. Ferrovial also got the highest score in its sector for the Environmental section, with the highest possible score in Materiality, Eco-efficiency, and Climate Strategy, to name a few.
