Ferrovial News summary October 2015

This October in Ferrovial news... Ferrovial presented the third quarter results, the company obtained a net profit of 483 million euros in the third quarter of 2015, an increase of 79% year-on-year. With respect to projects, Ferrovial Agroman has inaugurated the AVE Valladolid-Palencia-León which will service a potential audience of over 11 million people in four communities. In Santiago de Chile, the excavation of the subway tunnels of the new Line 6 has now been completed. In terms of new contracts, a Ferrovial led consortium has been chosen to supply the engineering and design work for the Texas High Speed Railway. Ferrovial will also manage the waste treatment services in the Isle of Wight with a contract worth 306 million euros. This October Ferrovial was also awarded another section of the S7 Expressway in Poland for 307 million euros. Looking at awards, Íñigo Meirás, CEO of Ferrovial is the first Spaniard to appear in the ESG Ranking of the top 100 CEOs in the world according to the Harvard Business Review. Ferrovial has also been recognized for its Corporate Social Responsibility work with its social infrastructure programme being awarded the Cinco Días Prize for Business Innovation 2015. In the US, the Texas North Tarrant Express Project has been awarded the 2015 Best Project of the Year in the Highway/Bridge category, whilst in the UK, filial company Amey has retained its Investors in People Gold status for their employee engagement and development.
