Ferrovial participates once more in the European Women in Construction & Engineering Awards

Since 2016, Ferrovial has participated in the European Women in Construction & Engineering awards, highlighting the role of women engineers in construction, and bringing together professionals from across the business group: Ferrovial, Ferrovial Construction, Cadagua, Budimex and Webber. Also includes a category who recognize the best mentors and mentorees.

In the last few years there has been great progress in the number of women working in the Construction industry, but we still have a long way to go. The aim of these awards is to encourage the engineering and construction sectors to be more attractive to women. Since 2016, Ferrovial has submitted 141 professionals with outstanding careers to these awards. Out of all of them, 16 have won the final awards in various categories.

At the same time Ferrovial is developing a formative program to support the entire process, focusing on aspects such as the role of women in construction, personal branding, social networks, high-impact presentations, coaching, diversity, languages, resilience, etc. The Ferrovial Construction WICE Development Program has been designed to better support our talented women, by building their confidence, personal power, and skills, when preparing themselves not only for the WICE Awards, but also for future professional opportunities and challenges.
