Each year, the specialized magazine, a leader in the infrastructure and construction sector, publishes its ranking of the 250 most important construction companies based on revenue from contracts coming from outside their countries of origin. In this way, they can measure the presence of those companies on the international market.

In this year’s edition, Engineering News-Record (ENR) has put Ferrovial in a stronger position on the list, rising one place in the ranking by International Sales. That way, the company ranks among the top ten companies with the highest international revenue generated outside their countries. The company also comes in 23rd on the Global Contractors list.

If we analyze the ranking by geography, Ferrovial is the fourth construction company in terms of revenue from Europe, climbing up two places from sixth place, which it occupied in the 2018 edition. Its seventh-place position in terms of revenue from the United States is also of note, as well as its move into eighth position for revenue coming from Canada.

As for the markets, according to ENR magazine, Ferrovial comes in at the second largest company in the Sewerage/Waste subsector, fifth in the Water sector, seventh in the Transportation sector, and eighth in the Energy sector.

This year, Ferrovial has taken the second-highest place in Spain, which added 9 companies to the list. The markets featuring the most construction companies in the publication are China (76), Europe (45), Turkey (43), and the United States (37).
