New street lighting helpdesk from Ferrovial Services
Ferrovial Services and the Town Council of Las Torres de Cotillas, in the Murcia region, have presented the new 'Street lighting help desk', a citizen service office that will be located at the town hall.
This office, which is part of the comprehensive street lighting management contract awarded to Ferrovial Services Spain, is the first centre implemented by the company in Spain with the aim of providing the best possible service to citizens through prompt response to breakdowns.

LED technology for street lighting that will provide 60% energy savings

Las Torres de Cotillas has upgraded and improved the town's street lighting. In total, Ferrovial Services has replaced 6,500 lighting fixtures with units based on LED technology, that provide 60% energy savings. In addition to reducing consumption, LED technology offers other benefits such as being able to control and better monitor street lighting consumption and, therefore, making possible more efficient resource management. The town residents also have a remote management system for notifying any incident in street lighting through their smartphone, as well as a 24-hour emergency phone service available 365 days a year. Ferrovial Services will be the town's concessionaire company for the next 20 years and will invest nearly 2 million euros in the remodelling and replacement of the lighting fixtures.
