Ferrovial Services’ subsidiary in Portugal was recently awarded two new facility management contracts.
The first is through the agreement signed with Bankinter for providing facility management services across the bank’s entire network of buildings and branches in Portugal. This agreement, in effect for up to 5 years, encompasses services provided by a team of over 100 professionals from Ferrovial Serviços at the more than 80 Bankinter facilities, covering areas such as cleaning, preventive and corrective maintenance, space management, and environmental management.
Furthermore, the company was awarded a new contract with Lisbon’s Santa Casa da Misericórdia for predictive and corrective maintenance, as well as the preservation of its electrical facilities in 120 different locations in all. Lisbon’s Santa Casa da Misericórdia is on a mission to help the most unfortunate. Known for its Social Action, the organization does important work in the areas of health, education and teaching, culture, and improving quality of life in Portugal.

Experience in the social sector
Ferrovial Serviços has extensive experience in the social sector working for the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Porto (SCMP). For about 13 years, it has fulfilled several services for the Santa Cruz do Bispo prison (run by SCMP), such as cleaning, facility maintenance, managing green spaces, and managing all waste. In addition, as part of its commitment to society, Ferrovial Serviços, along with SCMP, implemented an employability and training project for work reintegration for female inmates from the Santa Cruz do Bispo prison.
