- Ferrovial’s podcast “Sounds Like Infrastructure” winner of the Audio Strategy and/or Podcast Development category of Ramón del Corral Awards
The Association of Communication Managers, Dircom, has chosen Ferrovial’s podcast “Sounds Like Infrastructure” as the winner of the Audio Strategy and/or Podcast Development category. The company beat out fellow finalists Mapfre’s “La Bolsa de Deporte” (Gym Bag) and Seat S.A.’s “The Impulse” & “Moving Forward” for the award.
With more than 170 nominations received from all over Spain, the Ramón del Corral Dircom Awards highlight best practices in internal communication, crisis communication, and brand and purpose communication, among other issues and categories.
Ferrovial’s podcast program launched in mid-2020, and it’s based on the narrative trend. It is available in two languages: in English as “Sounds Like Infrastructure” and in Spanish as “Sonidos de infraestructuras.” Each version has exclusive episodes. In the episodes, employees and partners reveal secrets and fun facts behind the infrastructures the company carries out all over the world.
“This fifth season once again highlights the value of communication when it comes to translating the purpose of organizations, conveying important values to society, such as solidarity or sustainability, or looking out for people,” said Miguel López Quesada, current president of Dircom.

‘Sounds Like Infrastructure’ has previously been recognized with other awards: it won at the 2022Communicator Awards, earned silver at the 2021 w3 Awards, was a finalist at the Content Marketing Institute’s 2021 Content Marketing Awards, and the 2022 PR Daily’s Digital Marketing and Social Media Awards awarded ‘Sounds Like Infrastructure’ honorable mention in the ‘Podcast‘ category.
