At the event, held at the Waldorf SAP head offices in Germany, Ferrovial won the Silver prize for the Phoenix project in the category of Business Transformation. On behalf of Ferrovial, attendants were Pilar Rodriguez Tapia, Director of Solutions of the Globat IT Department, Armando Cernuda, Purchasing Manager of Ferrovial Agroman and Ángeles Mariscal, Project Manager of the Global IT Department, accompanied by Eduardo Silvestre, Senior Manager of IBM, a company which has been partner of Ferrovial in this project. The award was given by Franck Cohen, head of SAP EMEA.

The main goal of this project was the startup of a new system, inSite, for the management of Construction business works, not only from an economic and administrative viewpoint, but also from a technical and operational viewpoint. The system covers all the processes of the project, from its adjudication to its completion: sales and certification, planning and budgets, purchases, storage, production, finance and human resources management.
The award jury was formed by independent judges from winning companies of previous edition. They had to select the winners from among the 214 candidatures presented throughout the region. Not only was the success in achieving the project goals valued, but also the implementation of the project following principles to ensure quality.
Last November, SAP had granted Ferrovial the Gold award for this same project at Iberian level (Spain and Portugal) and it has now been recognized at EMEA level.
