- This recognition was presented by the MWCC and Global Shapers on their “35 under 35” list. This list compiles the most influential young engineers and architects under the age of 35
The Madrid World Capital of Construction, Engineering, and Architecture Association (Madrid WWC) and Global Shapers Spain launched the “35 under 35” project. The goal is to create a list of the most influential young engineers and architects under 35 in Spain and Madrid.
This year, more than 370 engineers and architects applied. These candidates possess the capacity for innovation and talent that are key to the present and future of the sector and society.
The five professionals from Ferrovial Construction who were selected are: Ángel Contreras Fernández, a civil engineer from the Technical University of Madrid in sixth place; Javier Rojo Sanz, a civil engineer from the University of Cantabria in seventh place; Andrea Martínez Maroto, a civil engineer from the Technical University of Madrid in tenth place; Adolfo Gutierrez Sánchez, an architect from the CEU San Pablo University at twenty-sixth; and Antonio Ortiz de Solórzano García, a civil engineer from the Technical University of Madrid at thirty-first.
Our commitment to developing young talent is a core principle at Ferrovial Construction. It’s demonstrated in the different initiatives launched in recent months, such as Gofurther, STEP, and the mentoring program Building One Future, to name a few.
