Heathrow Terminal 5
Friday 4 April was Heathrow Terminal 5’s busiest day ever, with almost 52,000 passengers making their way through our biggest terminal. Moving this high number of passengers is no mean feat and it requires everyone in our airport to work together to ensure that our passengers get away safely and on time. Despite the high numbers of people our teams dealt with, we still ensured a high level of punctuality with 87% of departures leaving our airport on time. Head of Security Heathrow T5 Laura Durie said, “I am delighted with the way that our teams performed on Friday. It takes everyone to play their role to ensure that the entire operation works successfully and I am pleased that this was the case last week. We can’t rest on our laurels, we now have to ensure that we maintain high service levels whether we are dealing with 5,000 or 50,000 passengers in a day.”
