Ferrovial Services has recently participated in the 'Ágora Wellness' congress in Valencia, which gathered over 40 sector experts and more than 200 participants. The goal of the event was to provide a global view of the 'wellness' concept with different presentations and debates, highlighting the importance of this concept to people, both at the personal and professional level, as well as to the company and, all in all, to society.
Managers and executives of Spanish multinationals, experts in emotional intelligence, entrepreneurs of
start-ups related to health and specialised psychologists participated in the two-day event.
Passport to wellness: health, sports and nutrition
Ferrovial Services Spain organised and moderated the round table 'Passport to wellness: health, sports and nutrition', with the presence of José Ramón Ferradas, Head of the Occupational Hazard Prevention Department, José Cámara, Regional Manager and José Emiliano Abril, Director of the Murcia Medical Services. Dr. Carlos Díez, Managing Director of the La Moraleja Hospital Campus and Medical Services of Sanitas Real Madrid FC and Mª Cruz Martínez, Coordinator of the Food Culture, Sociology and Anthropology of Food of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Foundation of Nutritionists & Dieticians also participated in the debate.
The role of a correct diet, preventive medicine and sports in wellness were concluded in the round table, as well as the need to increase the awareness in relation to the importance of these variables. In addition, the scope of the three axes was explained and participants provided their suggestions and techniques of the medical services of private companies (Ferrovial Services Spain), the promotion of a healthy life with sports (Inacua sporting centres), specialised associations and new innovating ways of looking after oneself offered by specialised medical entities.
Likewise, different issues were addressed, such as in what way these three key concepts - health, sports and nutrition - are present in Inacua's centres or how a healthy life can be promoted among workers from sports and nutrition in a company with over 35,000 workers, such as Ferrovial Services Spain.
