Heathrow and Glasgow Airport were declared ‘Best Airport over 10 million passengers’ and ‘Best Airport with 3-10 million passengers’, respectively, at the annual dinner and awards ceremony held by the Airport Operators Association (AOA) on 21 November.
It is the second year in a row that both airports get recognized by this well- known association that aims to represent and look after the interests of UK airports. Chief Executive of the AOA, Darren Caplan said:
“The AOA Awards showcase the best in the aviation and airport sectors. The 2016 winners demonstrate the vibrant and innovative work going on across the UK and Ireland, improving efficiency, reducing the impact of aviation on the environment and delivering an ever-improving passenger experience.”
