- Almost 700 startups participated in this call organized by Ferrovial, Cemex Ventures, Vinci, Hilti, and Saint Gobain
This week, Pitch Day for the Construction Startup Competition 2020 (CSC2020) was held. This is the 4th year of this call for startups in the construction sector. This year, Ferrovial, Cemex Ventures, Vinci, Hilti, and Saint Gobain joined forces to launch the event.
Almost 700 startups participated in this call, presenting their innovative developments and ideas. From these hundreds of submissions, 10 finalists (winners) were selected. They were given the opportunity to present their projects at CSC2020’s Pitch Day before a jury of representatives from Ferrovial, CEMEX Ventures, Hilti, VINCI, and NOVA by Saint-Gobain. Because of the Covid-19 crisis, this event was held virtually within the Builtworlds Venture Conference framework. The audience included experts from the construction industry and Venture Capitalists.
The decision to celebrate Pitch Day digitally was made to ensure that safety would be the top priority for everyone involved. At the same time, it was important keeping the spirit of interaction alive between all of the innovation ecosystem’s actors, which consists of startups, entrepreneurs, investors, and leaders in the construction industry.
