The NTE and LBJ traffic management centre in Texas
The LBJ and North Tarrant Express highways, managed by Cintra, have had their headquarters upgraded after building renovations were completed. Improvements to the Traffic Management Centre, which operates 24/7, were some of the most notable upgrades. The Traffic Management Team, who receive anywhere between 1,500 and 2,400 phone calls per month, work 365 days a year monitoring the LBJ Express and North Tarrant Express corridors. For this reason, upgrading the Traffic Management Centre was a priority during the works. The Traffic Management Centre now provides the team 12 monitors that can be set to more than 50 different screens, or the desired amount the team want. Four new standing and sitting workstations have also been provided with each work console having a total of six monitors. As they continued to monitor traffic passing through the corridors, the team was asked their opinion on the new space. "The new TMC is definitely more comfortable and quiet which helps us perform our daily duties with more efficiency. We also have more resources available to us which is helpful as well," commented Emilio, TMC Operator. Fellow Traffic Management Contre Operator Miranda commented that: “I am definitely impressed with the new TMC. The new design of the video wall helps us do our jobs more efficiently.” To learn more about Cintra, follow this link.
