NTE Mobility Partners (NTEMP) delivered the first cheque for STEM scholarships for $3,618.37 to O.H. teachers from Stowe Elementary for its LEGO Robotics program at the annual Tribute to Leadership event held on 31 March.
This grant, which aims to foster interest in science, mathematics, engineering and new technologies in schools, is part of the $40,000 that NTE awarded the Birdville Education Foundation, with the goal of promoting Educational programs related to STEM.
This is the first of several award ceremonies that will continue throughout the spring. As more beneficiaries are revealed, the Birdville and NTE Education Foundation will meet to surprise the teachers who are honoured with these cheques.
During the ceremony, Tito Rodríguez, Executive Director of the Birdville Education Foundation invited NTE CEO Alberto González; Deputy CEO, Luis Vázquez; and COO, Daniel Fernández, hand over the cheque to award-winning teachers Kelly Stephens, Rosemary Christenson and Ronda Nickens.
