This new contract - which has a duration of 6 years and will be carried out by Broadspectrum in joint venture with the subsidiary of the group Vinci Energies - Actemium - comprises the maintenance of the onshore facilities of the Ichthys liquefied natural gas (LNG) Project, developed by energy company INPEX. TRACE, Broadspectrum's joint venture with Actemium, has been awarded a six-year maintenance services contract to support the operation of the Ichthys LNG facilities near Darwin, Australia. The company will provide daily operational maintenance activities, shutdowns, workshop operations, brownfield project construction, fabrication services and specialist support services. The onshore processing facility at Bladin Point near Darwin will run for a minimum of forty years, generating up to 8.9 million tonnes of LNG per annum. This new contract is anticipated to create more than 150 new jobs in the Northern Territory. Broadspectrum has longstanding relationships with oil and gas companies including Chevron, ExxonMobil, Origin Energy, Arrow Energy, ConocoPhillips, Santos and Shell and oil and gas experience that covers Australia, New Zealand, the Americas and the Middle East.
