Maintenance of 10,000 kilometres of roads in the UK under 130 million pound contract

Amey, the UK subsidiary of Ferrovial Servicios, has been named preferred bidder for Gloucestershire’s highway maintenance contract, which will run for 5 years with possible extensions up to 11 years. The contract is worth 130 million pounds sterling (more than 150 million euro), and could reach 450 million pounds.

Ferrovial, through its UK subsidiary Amey, has been named preferred bidder for Gloucestershire’s highway maintenance contract, which will run for 5 years with possible extensions up to 11 years. The contract is worth 130 million pounds sterling (more than 150 million euro), and could reach 450 million pounds (over 530 million euro) if extended for the additional six years.

As from April 2014, Amey will manage and maintain 10,000 kilometres of roads, provide winter maintenance services and deliver highway improvement schemes to local authorities.

Amey already provides a range of services in Gloucestershire, including refuse and recycling collection, street cleaning, and grounds maintenance.
