Amey, a Ferrovial Services’ subsidiary, will carry out the installation of new water meters and maintenance tasks for the British water company Affinity Water during 5 years for 129 million pounds (164.6 million euro).
Ferrovial, through Amey, has been selected by Affinity Water to carry out the installation of new water meters and maintenance tasks. The project is 5 year long and its value is worth 129 million pounds (164,6 million euro).
This contracts enables Amey to strengthen its relationship with Affinity Water. Ferrovial Services’ subsidiary already delivers several services for the water company, such as the installation, renewal and cleaning of clean water mains or the installation of providing connections, being the sole contractor in providing new connections for new residential and commercial developments.
Amey has a prominent presence in the utilities services sector, awarding several contracts in the last months. For Severn Trent, it carries out the installation of new water meters and the maintenance and renewal of its mains in Midlands and Mid-Wales. With United Utilities, the company works on the repair and maintenance of 76,000 kilometers of mains and 42,000 kilometers of clean water infrastructure. Moreover, it manages several waste water services for Scottish Water.
