London hosted the final gala of the Women in Construction & Engineering 2023 Awards, the prestigious European award that highlights women in the sector internationally. This year’s winner in the Tunnelling & Underground category was Ana Méndez, Silvertown Tunnel Senior Engineer at Cintra.
Ferrovial’s nominations placed 22 finalists in 15 different categories in this edition of the WICE awards. These recognitions are role models for women considering a career in these sectors, and they encourage companies to employ and train more women in these industries while making the engineering and construction sectors more attractive to women.
Since 2016, Ferrovial has participated with professionals from many of its divisions: Ferrovial, Ferrovial Construction, Cadagua, Budimex, and Webber. In addition, the company offers the candidates a training program to accompany them throughout the process to prepare and defend their candidacies.
