Ferrovial Conservación signs the maintenance and cleaning contract of the Lisbon Universal Exhibition
Ferrovial Conservación (Ferconsa), the company which concentrates the conservation and maintenance activities of Grupo Ferrovial, has been awarded through its Portuguese subsidiary the maintenance and cleaning services contract of the Lisbon Universal Exhibition which is opening its doors today.
During the next five months, Ferconsa will perform these services in an area of more than 80,000 square meters, including the area of the Southern Region participating countries which includes more than sixty countries and its Shopping Gallery, as well as the International Organizations area and the Sponsor Companies Pavillion and the National Organizations area.
Ferrovial Conservación has been working in Portugal for the past four years, including several facility management contracts for office buildings, branches, singular buildings, etc. Inside the Expo premises, Ferconsa has also carried out the new Repsol service station, designed by the architect Norman Foster.
This contract strengthens the Group companies presence in the newly inaugurated Expo 98 in Lisbon, after the active intervention of Ferrovial-Agromán Internacional, which has carried out seven contracts inside the fair premises among them site development works on the premises, modular structures of the Southern Area, International and National Organizations area, residential building and an underground pass in José Queiroz Square, the second entrance to the premises totaling Pt 12 billion.
