407 ETR to sponsor the Pan American and Parapan American Games 2015 in Toronto

The 407 ETR is going to sponsor the Pan American and Parapan American Games 2015 in Toronto, which are taking place on 10-26 July 2015 and 7-15 August 2015, respectively. The sponsorship agreement includes logistic support during the Games on a highway that continues to reach record traffic numbers and is recognized in the GTHA (Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area) as the fastest, safest and most reliable highway. The official vehicles and buses that will be used by athletes and other important figures, as well as by athletes' families, will arrive at their destination on time on one of the fastest and safest highways in the country. “The 407 ETR helps to ease traffic congestion on other roads and highways in the GTHA. Thanks to this sponsorship, we are ensuring that this service remains the same throughout the Games,” explains José Ángel Tamariz, President and Chief Executive Officer of 407 ETR Concession Company Limited. According to a study conducted in December 2013 by the Conference Board of Canada, the 407 ETR saves users time and offers potential benefits to drivers such as saving on fuel. More predictable, consistent and reduced travel times will help athletes competing in Toronto 2015 to concentrate on sports and arrive at the events on time.
