Fundación Envera distinguishes Ferrovial as the most influential Spanish company on Corporate Responsibility

Fundación Envera has presented Ferrovial with its award for most influential Spanish company on Corporate Responsibility, recognising its commitment to promoting integration and equal opportunities.

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Fundación Envera has presented Ferrovial with an award as the “most influential Spanish company” for its “corporate social responsibility and its commitment to promoting integration and equal opportunities”. The award was received by Juan Francisco Polo, Ferrovial’s Communications and CSR Director, during an award ceremony held at Madrid Regional Government headquarters.

Receiving the award, Francisco Polo highlighted Ferrovial’s collaboration with Fundación Envera as a special employment centre when submitting tenders for services.

“It is, for us, part of our commitment to socially responsible employment, linked to our strategy of corporate responsibility. We are all responsible for achieving a fairer and more inclusive society”.

The awards cover ten different categories, all of which emphasize the personal, professional or corporate efforts of the award winners in favour of social and work integration and equal opportunities, thus contributing to building a society of which we can all be proud.

The award winners in the remaining categories were: Cristina Cifuentes (most influential political person); the Madrid City Council (most influential public institution), with the award being received by Marta Higueras, the city’s deputy mayor; Central Government deputy, Concepción Danacusa (as representative of the most influential State body); Madrid Foro Empresarial (Business Forum) (most influential association), represented by its president, Hilario Alfaro; Spanish State television (most influential broadcasting media), with Manuel Ventero; El Confidencial (most influential written media), the award being received by its deputy director, Carlos Sánchez; Ángel Expósito (most influential radio journalist); Atlético de Madrid Foundation (most influential sports institution), the award being received by its president, Enrique Cerezo; and singer Huecco (most influential artist), who took part in the ceremony via videolink to express his appreciation for the award, being in Miami at the time.

Envera –Iberia Employees Parents Association of People with Disabilities, is a not-for-profit organisation the mission of which is to achieve social and work integration of people with disabilities by providing lifetime support and assistance. It provides school and training support, access to the labour market and employment, leisure, cultural and sports opportunities, as well as support in residential accommodation.

The Envera Foundation has several branches throughout Spain, including one in Madrid and another in Colmenar Viejo. It provides support to 2,500 people every year, with 72% of its employees being people with disabilities.
