ice/ieee international technology management conference 2017
The 23rd edition of the ICE/IEEE International Technology Management Conference 2017 was held on 27, 28 and 29 July on the Portuguese island of Madeira, with the participation of Ferrovial Agroman. This is a benchmark event which brings together relevant specialists from the academic community and representatives from technological centres, large companies, small and medium enterprises, start-ups and other public and private institutions. Under the theme of "Engineering, Technology & Innovation Management Beyond 2020: New Challenges, New Approaches", this year’s ICE Conference has again seen an increase in the number of members in its innovation community, and the commitment to sharing technical know-how. In this context, Ferrovial Agroman has participated actively, presenting a technical publication based on the work done by the company’s R&D Department in the ACCEPT project, part of the Horizon 2020 European programme. This publication, entitled "Engaging Diverse Groups of Stakeholders to Generate Useful Technical Requirements", describes the methodology developed for identifying both technological challenges and digitalisation needs in the building sector. The authors of this publication, Jesús Alonso (Ferrovial Agroman) and Edward Godden (Ingleton Wood), presented the conclusions of their work during the conference, and also chaired a special session on "Smart and interconnected built environment". All the publications presented were approved and included in the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society.
