Ferrovial Agroman holds first ever Summer Fête for employee Health and Wellbeing

Local news

On Saturday 27th June 2015 Ferrovial Agroman celebrated and promoted employees’ Health and Wellbeing by holding their first ever summer fête for their London based teams and families.

All guests were given the opportunity to take part in a tennis coaching session led by the Ferrovial Agroman UK Managing Director, Mario Mostoles, an outdoor Zumba class, a sports day tournament, a rounders match as well as a football tournament earlier in the day with different projects competing against each other in the glorious sunshine.

Ferrovial Agroman chose to support The Lighthouse Club and A Smile for a Child by running several fundraising activities on the day including a Ferrovial Bake Off, a Tapas competition and a raffle. The total amount given by employees was then matched by the company to make £970 to be donated equally to both charities.

In preparation for Health and Wellbeing week in October 2015, the Health and Safety teams managed a stall alongside an occupational therapist and a nutritional therapist. Visitors to the stall were given the chance to learn about what we do for our teams as a company and also to try out some of the fun interactive activities on offer including: a stress test, PPE challenge, lunchbox swap and a smoothie bike challenge where employees competed against each other to see who could make the best dynamo powered green smoothie!

Guests were also given the chance to set a challenge for the senior management team to complete during Health and Wellbeing week in the autumn.

We would like to thank Park Health and Safety, Harmony Nutrition and Carney Construction for their assistance on the day as well as everyone who came to the event and embraced the community spirit.

We would also like to congratulate the following winners for all the different competitions and tournaments that ran throughout the fete.
