The Northern Beaches Hospital Roadworks (NBHR) project has achieved the milestone of 600 days Lost Time Injury (LTI) free. An excellent achievement from every person working on the NBHR project.
At Ferrovial Agroman projects, safety is the first priority.
The Northern Beaches Hospital Roadworks (NBHR) project is being undertaken on one of Sydney’s busiest roads, with over 140,000 public vehicle movements in proximity to our work site each day. At the projects peak we had 450 workers on site, with an average of 40,000 hours worked per month. We have relocated 26km of underground services and installed over 5km of new overhead network services.
Project Safety is at the core of every step of the construction process. The project has developed a wide range of initiatives including the LIFE (Looking for an Incident Free Environment) program which has been successfully implemented in other Ferrovial projects worldwide to increase the Safety Culture of the team and achieve the industry highest Health and Safety standards. These initiatives include all safety aspects: policies, systems, procedures, training, reporting, auditing, planning, inspections, collaboration with stakeholders, site management, awareness and employee support. Workforce safety is constantly reinforced through daily, weekly and monthly safety toolboxes. Adherence to the site task risk assessments is also undertaken each day. A 100% Safety mindset is our goal.
As a result, the project has achieved the milestone of 600 days Lost Time Injury (LTI) free. An excellent achievement from every person working on the NBHR Project including our client, RMS.
The NBHR project team is delighted to contribute their effort, experience and expertise to deliver a first-class infrastructure for the Northern Beaches, ensuring Safety continues to be the first priority.
