First major traffic switch achieved
On Tuesday November 4th, whilst the rest of the country stopped for the Melbourne Cup, nothing stopped the team at Nelson Bay Road Upgrade project safely and efficiently achieving our first major traffic switch.
The extensive planning and coordinated field effort by the project team and our subcontractor partners, as well as the ongoing support of our client, produced a tremendous result.
This major milestone has opened the second half of the project and most significantly allowed for the last major power cutover which successfully went ahead just two days later.
Work is already underway on the newly released final sections and we are all looking forward to delivering the remaining works and safely completing Ferrovial’s first of many construction projects in Australia.
