Webber Builds New Galveston Cruise Terminal with Help from LAN

Local news

The Port of Galveston handles more than one million cruise passengers each year, and is the fourth busiest cruise port in the nation, ranking among the top 10 in the world. Webber and Lockwood, Andrews & Newman (LAN) teamed up for the $12.7 million terminal addition, spanning 60,000 square feet. A larger security screening area, ticket counters, and seating for more than 2,500 passengers was included.

Webber received the design-build contract in 2014 to accommodate more passengers and larger ships.  Excavation and concrete plinth work began October 2015 and the project was completed in June, free of any injuries.

“It was a team effort, with everyone working well together”

We are very proud of the project, and you can learn more about the new Galveston Cruise Terminal project here.
