Federico Flórez, CIIO of Ferrovial, has received the award for Best Digital Leader 2016 in recognition of his executive work in the digital transformation of the company.
The award was granted in the first edition of the European Digital Mindset Awards to distinguish the most outstanding projects and professionals in the area of digital transformation in each of its five categories: Best Digital Leader, Best Corporate Digitisation Project, Best Journalistic Work on Corporate Digitisation, Best Digital Campaign and Best Startup. These awards recognise the most innovative proposals with a disruptive focus in Customer Experience and Management of Information and Communication Technologies, and which present new models of digital business. The awards gala took place as part of the Digital Enterprise Show (DES2016), the leading international meeting on digital transformation, held in Madrid from 24 to 26 May. The international jury, formed of professionals such as Daniel Newman (Broadsuite Media Group), Beatriz García Quismondo (Womenalia), Michael Krigsman (Cxo Talk) and Andreu Vea (Digital Champion for Spain at the European Commission), announced its decision after assessing more than 150 candidacies from 26 countries. The panel recognised proposals focused on values such as innovation, leadership, disruption and strategy. Other winners Meliá Hotels was recognised with the award for the best company in digital transformation, Fernando Almaraz from the University of Salamanca received the award for Best Journalistic Work on digital transformation, Improove Search won for best digital campaign based on digital channels and platforms, and the prize for the most disruptive startup went to Spotcat.
