Ferrovial Agroman UK & Ireland wins International Safety Award with distinction

This recognition, awarded by the British Safety Council, puts the company in the top 2.5% of applicants and sets it apart from the competition.  In a recognition that goes to all Ferrovial Agroman projects in the UK, the British Safety Council has awarded the company an International Safety Award with distinction. This shows the importance Ferrovial Agroman places on Health, Safety & Wellbeing on a daily basis and that they set themselves apart from the competition. The total number of applications was 558, of which only 15 were awarded distinctions (Ferrovial Agroman scored 59 out of 60). This puts them in the top 2.5% of applicants. The International Safety Awards Gala Dinner will be held on Friday 27 April at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, in a black-tie event that comes as one of the most prestigious dates in the Health & Safety calendar. Ferrovial Agroman's Health, Safety, Quality & Environment director for Ferrovial Agroman UK & Ireland, Bob Hackett, commented:

Current Projects Across the UK

In partnership with other construction companies, Ferrovial Agroman UK & Ireland is currently delivering several projects in the UK: the Northern Line Extension, which is extending the tube's Northern line from Kennington to Battersea in South West London terminating at the redeveloped Battersea Power Station; the central section of the Thames Tideway Tunnel, a major new sewer that will help tackle the problem of overflows from London's Victorian sewers and will protect the river from increasing pollution for at least the next 100 years; Farringdon station, which is part of the London Underground and includes the construction of the station's building, accesses and caverns; the ongoing construction and development projects at Heathrow, Europe's busiest airport; and the enabling works on the central section of the high speed railway which will join London and Birmingham (HS2).
