CDP 2018

The CDP organization (Carbon Disclosure Project) has, for the ninth consecutive year, recognized Ferrovial’s work in reducing emissions, mitigating the risks of climate change, and supporting a low-carbon economy.

As part of Ferrovial’s commitment to the environment, the company has received the award from the CDP at the event held on February 19 in Brussels. The non-profit organization aims to document, analyze, and measure the environmental impacts of countries and cities for which governments and the businesses themselves can make decisions committed to the environment. In addition, it rates companies with a grading system that goes from A to F, depending on how it is tackling climate change, deforestation, and water security.

Based on analyzing and studying this data, the CDP gave Ferrovial’s efforts an “A,” the highest rating.  Valentín Alfaya, Director of Quality, Prevention, and Environment, and Ana Peña, Head of Quality, Environment, and Climate Change, attended the awards ceremony held in Brussels as Ferrovial’s representatives. Other well-known companies such as Acciona, BBVA, Endesa, Naturgy Energy Group and Telefónica were awarded alongside Ferrovial.

This prestigious award presented by the CDP endorses Ferrovial as a business committed to the environment with a strategy aligned with a low-carbon economy and a preventative focus on reducing the global carbon footprint.
