This new marketing channel will be extended to the Canary Islands, where the company manages six developments in Las Palmas and Santa Cruz

The Madrid, Málaga, Sevilla and Valencia stores sold 569 homes for 117.75 million euros through March

Ferrovial Inmobiliaria has started to sell its homes via El Corte Inglés department stores in Zaragoza and Barcelona, where it manages 10 developments (6 in Barcelona and Lleida and 4 in Zaragoza), thereby expanding the plan commenced fifteen months ago consisting of opening a new marketing channel at the Madrid and Málaga department stores that does not exclude the traditional channels, which continued at the stores in Sevilla and Valencia in 2001.

569 homes were sold through March
In the coming months, this new marketing channel will be extended to the Canary Islands, where Ferrovial manages 6 developments (4 in Las Palmas and 2 in Tenerife).

The Madrid, Málaga, Sevilla and Valencia stores sold 569 homes for 117.75 million euros in the last fifteen months. At those locations, Ferrovial Inmobiliaria and Lar 2000 manage 24 property developments: 11 in Madrid, 5 in Málaga, 2 in Sevilla and 6 in Valencia and Alicante.

Access to the entire property portfolio
This new channel for selling homes enables people to check and buy Ferrovial´s property developments throughout Spain via any El Corte Inglés store. The progressive implementation of this system will enable the Group to include its entire property portfolio (19,200 homes in 33 cities) in a single network. This experience could be passed on to the Portuguese market, where Ferrovial Inmobiliaria manages 1,000 homes in Lisbon.

In addition to this initiative, the company has undertaken other operations to boost Ferrovial´s property sales. In July 2001, Ferrovial Inmobiliaria acquired Don Piso, Spain´s largest realtor, which enabled Ferrovial to diversify its product and service range into property brokerage, rent-controlled buildings, mini-developments, home rentals and property administration.

The third part of this strategy was the creation of Oficina Multicasa, which offers Ferrovial´s entire residential property portfolio. This initiative commenced in Madrid, it will continue in Barcelona, Las Palmas and Valencia and will progressively operate in other Spanish cities.

500 outlets in the next four years
As these initiatives (new Ferrovial Inmobiliaria offices, expansion of the El Corte Inglés project to other stores, new Don Piso offices and new Oficinas Multicasa outlets) expand geographically, Ferrovial Inmobiliaria will have 500 outlets in the next four years.
