For the fourth time in its history, Ferrovial has been awarded the ‘Premio Salmón’ for the best stock in 2011 by the readers of the financial newspaper Expansión.
The ‘Premio Salmón’, now in its twenty-third edition, recognizes not only the positive performance of Ferrovial’s stock, which appreciated by 25.4% in the year and by 38.5% with respect to the Ibex35, but also the company’s business performance, financial strength, management and transparency.
Expansión readers rewarded Ferrovial for its leading position in the transport infrastructure industry, its strategy and its international operations.
At yesterday’s awards ceremony, Íñigo Meirás, Managing Director of Ferrovial, expressed his gratitude to the newspaper and its readers on behalf of the entire company. He also noted the group’s solid track record, based on over 60 years of sustained growth and long-term value creation.
Ferrovial also received the Salmón prize for the best stock in 2002, 2004 and 2009.
